Abstract:
This project is to investigate what are the main causes of mortality of day
old chicks’ onboard the aircraft during flight. Major factors concerning about
condition of day old chicks’ onboard will be studied by generating relationship
between each factors to see any significant relation which might contributed to
the mortality of day old chicks’ onboard the aircraft due to unconducive
environment. Based on all the factors identified, a newly proposed container
design will be tested to find the optimum packaging requirement for day old
chicks’ onboard the aircraft. With the newly proposed design of container it will
help to further reduce mortality of day old chicks’ onboard the aircraft by
providing even better environment for day old chicks’ by taking into account all
major factors that may result in instability of condition due to one or more
factors change thus affecting the condition of the environment inside the day old
chicks’ container that may then resulting in increase in mortality rate due to
unconducive environment. This report will also show how the test will be
conducted to understand the air flow inside the cabin that may affect the overall
condition of the day old chicks.
