dc.description.abstract In order to fulfill the requirement of Diploma in Helicopter Maintenance Technology from University Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT), we need to adapt our experiences which conclude the skills and knowledge during our three years in the university to our final year project. Magneto is an electrical generator that uses permanent magnet to help produce periodic pulses of alternating current. In aircraft, magneto are used in the ignition system of a piston engine that functioning to provide an electrical spark to ignite the fuel/air mixture in the cylinder. In other hand, magneto test stand is equipment that used to check the integrity of a magneto. There are many types of magneto test stands available, but they typically include a variable-speed drive motor, a tachometer, and a spark rack. Magneto testing is a must after a magneto is reassembled and internally time. Many things can be verify by using magneto test stand. A magneto test stand can be used to rotate magneto in variable speed, strength of the rotating magnet, magneto performance and many more. en_US
