dc.description.abstract The purpose of this project is to show the idea through the innovation by build a mockup of mechanical linkage for main rotor head system. As we know, helicopter main rotor head change it angle of swashplate and pitching blade by using the linkage that connected from cyclic stick and collective pitch. From these two controls, it will be direct link to the torque tube and mixing unit. The last part is servo mechanism whereas it is used to change the swashplate angle, in which the swashplate angle can change the pitching of the blade on main rotor head. Furthermore, the main function of servo mechanism is to assist pilot to move the control surfaces by reducing the amount of mechanical forces needed. So we make an innovation to the linkage by discard the utilization of servo mechanism. Only retain the uses of mechanical linkage. We also make some improvisation to the mechanical linkage that be used on the Live Helicopter by using different component in order to finish the mockup according to supervisor idea and group discussing. The mechanical linkages that be used on the mockup is wooden stick. Once all the linkage have been attached, we clearly can see how the linkage work simultaneously and identically as the Live Helicopter. This project provides overview of mechanical linkage on main rotor head system and how it operates. This in turn shall be the reference for those interested to gain knowledge and study in the corresponding field in the future. en_US
