dc.description.abstract The research study is focus on developing a methodology to analyze the aircraft feedback information which potentially contributes for future aircraft improvement. Purpose of this research is to identify how to make the Service Difficulty Report System (SDRS) data more useful to other potential users. Besides, this research is to propose a new methodology to analyze the data. There are three objectives in this research. Firstly, the author is able to tabulate data into a table on a specific aircraft component’s failure. Second, a detailed analysis of the SDR data has been performed to demonstrate how to compose the data become more useful. Third, propose a methodology to analyze the data for potential users. For the methodology, the author has developed six stages of research methodology; data collection, data preparation, data analysis, data representation, approved data, and feedback information. It is important to know the feedback information for future aircraft improvement in scope of design and maintainability of the aircraft. This will generate the other potential users in better understanding in maintainability of the aircraft. The developed methodology for tabulating the data has shown the aircraft component that most or highest recorded on Service Difficulty Report System from 2008-2012. The highest data recorded for aircraft component is Fuselage with the total 438 data In this research, the author focuses on studying the trend of data aircraft components using feedback information due to availability and convenience. The author studies the trends of data, particularly on aircraft components. The data used for this research is Service Difficulty Report System (SDRS). The data is collected from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The author will segregate, analyze and evaluate the data. After the analyses have been carried out, the author will suggest a methodology which could potentially improve aviation safety. en_US
