dc.description.abstract This research study is about the comparison of mechanical properties between two different laminated composites. A Carbon Fibre and Fibre Glass material is chosen as the specimen to be tested in three mechanical testing. The pre-preg Unidirectional Carbon Fibre was cut in dimension of 10” x 10” and was stacked for 8-plies before it was heated by using an autoclave machine for 250 degree Fahrenheit in 3 hours. While a woven Fibre Glass material was also cut in the same dimension and stacked for 8-plies before it undergoes wet lay-up process and left to be cured for one day. The finish material then is being cut by following the dimensions as required in American Standard Testing Machine (ASTM). There are 7 specimens needed for each three mechanical testing which are Tensile Strength Test, Bonding Test and Three Point Bending Test to get the best results. The results obtained shows Carbon Fibre pre-preg was more reliable for high stress parts on aircraft but it has less flexibility and more brittle compared to Fibre Glass material which undergoes wet lay-up process en_US
