dc.description.abstract This project is about designing and developing a propeller balancing machine. This machine is used to dynamic balance a propeller. The current propeller dynamic balancing machine that has existed is expensive. This project is to design and develop dynamic propeller balancing machine that is cheaper and affordable. This machine shall withstand all the forces produced by the engine and propeller. Another objective is to conduct the propeller static and dynamic balancing on the machine to validate the design. The design uses the 3-D model software, CATIA. The CATIA is used for the initial design and sizing the machine and structure member sizing. FEM/ FEA module of the CATIA is used in the process of analysing. Hand stress calculation is used to validate the FEM/FEA result. The result shows that different between the hand stress calculation and FEM/FEA on compression stress is 5% and bending stress is 4%. After the design is satisfied, the machine is build. Dynamic balancing is conducted on the machine to validate the design. en_US
