dc.description.abstract Composite materials have been increasingly used in automotive engineering, aerospace development, marine technology, electronic devices, and construction industries. Composite material are more expensive than metallic parts, and composite are susceptible to flaw during the fabrication process and while in service. Defect that occur in manufacturing or impacts that occur during normal operation can significantly reduce the strength of the composite. Much attention has been focused on the research of structural health monitoring (SHM), since it provides a reliable, efficient, and economical approach to increase the safety and reduce the maintenance costs of engineering structures. Fiber glass reinforced composite, one of the commonly used structural composites, was chosen for the test material. This is because most of the parts produced from fibreglass, like aircraft wings and wind turbine rotor blades. This paper highlights a computational model to analyze the behavior of fiberglass material subjected to vibration. The computational method employed in this research is sigmaplot. The behavior of fiberglass after exposed to vibration testing is observed and analyzed from the graphs obtained from sigmaplot. en_US
