Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to study the special technique used in composite repair. This special technique has been used in the composite industry for about two years, but the existence of it is unknown to many and
only few in Malaysia is familiar with this technique. This research first and foremost focuses on the two common repair types in
composite industry, step cut repair and scarf cut repair. The report will then
concentrate on the special technique used in composite repair, also known
as peel off repair. The information regarding the special technique is mostly gathered from CTRM Melaka during our visit there and through continuous communication
with their staffs.
Having the knowledge about this research is beneficial and important, as
composite repair technology is constantly growing internationally and the
skills and information are still limited in Malaysia. Hopefully the outcomes of
this research would contribute to the composite programmed in Malaysia.
