The purpose of this research is to utilising existed methodology known as Maintainability Prediction in Military Handbook (MIL-HDBK 472) to calculate maintenance time of turbine engine compressor section in accordance with Procedure III, of MIL-HDBK 472. Furthermore, the author use procedure III checklist A specified in physical design factors, checklist B specified in design
dictates facilities and checklist C specified in design dictates maintenance skill. Through this research, the author will determine the quality of the
difficulties of the aircraft components by using historical data such as Services
Difficulties Report (SDR). All data organized in accordance to Joint Aircraft
System/Component Code (JASC) which categorized into several elements such as
JAS CODE, Aircraft Name and Aircraft Part Name. This research focused on prediction in maintenance activity of turbine
engine compressor section. The results from the analysis indicated that the
maintenance activity time was huge influenced during compressor rotor blade
removal and installation and its show normal maintenance times is 3 hours and 17
minutes (190 minutes), the corrective maintenance times (Mct) at the difference 1.1
percent is 3 hours and 10 minutes (186.16 minutes) Last but not least, this research buoyantly will increase our understanding
about maintainability prediction methods and increase the life expectancy of the
compressor rotor blade by minimizing the error either on method or application
used that could occur on it. If the author can counter the problem, it will reduce the
ownership cost and save a lot of money from it. Keywords: Maintainability Prediction, Turbine Compressor Section,
