dc.description.abstract In recent years natural fibres appear to be the outstanding materials which come as the viable and abundant substitute for the expensive and non-renewable synthetic fibre. The use of natural fiber as composite reinforcement has shown signs of satisfying most of the above conditions. This work gives an overall view of what is natural fibre and the advantages of using natural fibre as a composite reinforcement are also discussed. Coir, pandanus atrocarpus leaves and fronds of veitchia merrillii fiber are used as reinforcement in epoxy resin matrix to make the composite. Hand lay-up and vacuum bagging method is used to make the composite. The strength of these three types of fiber are studied using tensile and bending testing. en_US
