Abstract:
Fire test means of determining whether or not fire protection products meet the
minimum performance criteria as set out in legislation. There are many different types of fire tests apart from those on firestops. Walls and doors can be tested, closures within them, such as windows, fire doors, fire dampers, structural steel and more. Fire test are conducted both on active fire protection and on passive fire protection items. Active fire protection is characterised by items and/or systems, which require a certain amount of motion and response in order to work. Passive fire protection attempts to contain fires or
slow the spread, through use of fire-resistant walls, floors and doors etc.
The fire test burner with flux density is done to evaluate and verify the penetration
of the flame on the specimen, the rate of fire spread, the measurement of the heat transfer through the specimen and hot or hazardous gasses release by the specimen and also how long the specimen can stand at specific heat. By doing this test, we can analyze and conclude wheather the material is safe enough to be use as one of the component in aircraft.
Gas-fired burners is the best choice to be used as fire burner because it is easy to
find ,reduce cost and it is also local sources. By followed the Federal Aviation
Regulations, this fire burner could be use worldwide, and its base on aviation
requirement. Calorimeter is used to measure the heat capacity that is through the tested
material. The usage of the fire burner in the industry is that people can use it to measure
heat capacity that are through the firewall eventhough it is fire proof
