dc.description.abstract The use of turboprop aircraft is now has become widely used by airliners due to its efficiency and cost saving. Many aviation companies have making their way to minimize the application of gas turbine engine in the industry due to the fact that a use of propeller on a turboprop engine is cost saving compared to a turbine engine. As a result of that, many experts has done numerous research on how to accomplish maximum power and efficiency from one of the important part of a turboprop engine, which is the propeller. This Final Year project is mainly to research on the relationship between the diameter of the propeller and the thrust produced. The thrust of the propeller is directly related to the propeller efficiency. Propeller of different diameter were manufactured and each of the propeller are tested using a homemade testing rig. Three different diameter of 115 cm, 125 cm and 132 cm are tested at different engine speed to measure its performance under different condition. Referring to the objectives, this research must be capable to compare the results of the investigation and relate to the real aircraft applications. en_US
