dc.description.abstract It has been realized that the next generation of high performance aircraft must be designed to have the capability to produce high lift-to-drag ratio during take off. But few realized that a rotating cylinder can also create lift. Flow past a spinning and translating cylinder has been a subject of numerous investigations. Thus, it is desirable to devise an effective method to produce better lift. The cylinder will be attached with spokes to push the air surround to rotate along with the cylinder. Result reported from previous research shows that the true vortex are not form as theoretical as the models supposed to create. Due to this reason, there is a need to analyze the best design that can produce better lift at lower speed to take off in a short distance of time. This paper will explain the conditions and the variable design of the spoke that will take off in a short time and requires little take off and landing strip. en_US
