dc.description.abstract Accurate measurement is an important and crucial part in material analysis. In this research, four samples of kapok fibrous mat of different thickness namely 3 mm, 5 mm, 7 mm and 9 mm is prepared and tested. Hot press machine is used to fabricate the kapok mat sample. Multipurpose adhesive spray used in the fabrication of kapok mat act as binder which greatly stores it low thermal conductance property. The test method used is a steady state method and the principal in this testing is based on the study by D. Kraemer & G. Chen (2014). One sample of Perspex is also prepared to validate the efficiency of the test. The result obtained from test conducted shows percentage error of 9% in the measurement. The thermal conductivity of the tested kapok mat samples ranged around 0.04-0.06 W/mK which is considered as low thermal conductance. en_US
