Abstract: | This research presents an investigation of research objective to determine the variation of grain structure due to vary travel speed input. In this experiment, the type of material conducted is aluminum AA6063. This type of aluminum has the lowest magnesium and alloy compare to other 6000 series aluminum. It also has high corrosion resistance and high conductivity than steel. AA6063 is suitable for all conventional welding methods. The analysis techniques to determine the grain structure by using the Optical Microscopic (OM) and Laser Scan Microscopic. The selection in determining the surface has been divided into several sections on the specimen surface which is Thermo-mechanically Affected Zone (TMAZ), Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) weld nugget and parent metal |
