Issue Date: 6-Mar-2014
Abstract: Fuzzy logic technique is an innovative technology used in designing solutions for multi-parameter and non-linear control model for definition of a control strategy. As a result it delivers solution faster than the conventional control design method. This work presents a fuzzy logic based control temperature system which consists of microcontroller, temperature sensor, display interface circuit and output interface circuit. The aim is to maintain the room temperature close to the targeted values and design approach that uses fuzzy logic technique to achieve a controlled temperature output function. A laboratory prototype of fuzzy control system for a room was carried out and simulation results were presented using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Simulated results were verified by programming the PIC18F45K22 microcontroller with the algorithm and using it on a temperature control system where a fan was regulated in response to the variation of the temperature.
