Title: Vibration Attributes At Microgravity
Authors: Muhammad 'Izzad Afif Bin Nordin
Issue Date: 26-Jan-2003
Abstract: This project presents the study of vibration characteristics at microgravity.Recent studies showed that microgravity condition has given certain effects upon sound wave, whether through a liquid medium or gaseous medium for the sound wave transfer. As we all know, sound wave is produced by a vibrating object. Therefore, as the production of sound wave is closely related to vibration, this project will determine and clarify the role of vibration towards sound wave behaviour at microgravity, which will give us a better understanding of the relationship between sound and vibration for future technology development, particularly in the field of space science and technology. All in all, at the end of this project, we can see that at microgravity, the amplitude of the vibration is slightly higher than on ground and the graph will show less variation (small amplitude range).
