Abstract: The final year project aims at exposing the students undergoing higher technical studies to the thoughts and logic that must be developed to ensure that one is able to integrate his/her ideas into something concrete. This generally is initiated by the inception of an idea or a concept, which not only aims at developing a product (Hardware or Software), but also the in-depth study of the earlier existing products in the same category and their deficiencies. Accordingly an approach is taken to propose a solution, which is better from the previous ones in one respect or the other. With the same approach in mind, we, the final year students of Diploma of Engineering Technology in Avionics Maintenance, have taken up “BASIC PA SYSTEM” as our Final Year Project. Passenger Addressing (PA) system is a distribution system which is used in airliners. The PA equipment allows the broadcast of messages or announcement at a designated area. The purpose of this system is to provide a simple way of to get general announcement, emergency announcement and information to the passengers. PA system can be simple and basic to advance with integrated features. Passenger Address system are utilized inside the aircraft for advisory information and/or entertainment. Basic PA system are comprised of an amplifier to increase the sound level, a microphone and a loudspeaker. The user speaks into the microphone and the sound is amplified and then transmitted through the connected cables out through the speaker.
