Abstract: The aim of this research is to study safety at shipyard especially in welding activity. The main objectives on this part, is to identify types of injuries in welding activity and to determine prevention and control by using risk assessment method. Alternatively, in order to identify the injuries and determine the prevention and control of welding activity at the shipyard, a survey must be done. A set of questionnaires consist of three sections namely section A (Demographic), section B (Types of Injuries in Welding Activity) and section C (Prevention and Control By Using Risk Assessment Method). By using SPSS software, key in the data which is the questionnaire distributed to the respondents. After that, the data is analyzed by using descriptive analysis (mean and percentage). The results of the study present that the major occupational accidents among the workers is identified. Besides, the prevention and control by using risk assessment method can be determined. Therefore, some recommendations are pointed out in this study to minimizing the occupational accidents among welders at the shipyard.
