Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of language anxiety on two levels of classes learning Korean as Foreign Language (KFL) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). This study will examine the differences in foreign language anxiety in two different levels of Korean classes of 66 first and second semester students learning Korean as foreign language. Previously, most studies investigated foreign language anxiety levels emphasis on English as a Second Language (ESL) but there were only a small number of studies concerning on Korean language especially in Malaysia. Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FCLAS) developed by Horwitz et.al (1986) will be used as the instrument for data collection tool. Although the result is at preliminary stage, it provides useful understanding to improve current teaching and learning practice and Korean language curriculum in UniKL.
