Title: The Development of Home Automation Systems using Voice Activation

Abstract: Recently, the industrial revolution 4.0 change the landscape of industrial in the Malaysia. The internet of things (IOT) is one out of nine technology driven the uses of internet as fundamental in connecting physical devices. There are many companies that have been transforming their product in a complex context such as market of home automation system. However, not many people can afford it as the home automation system is expensive. The purpose of this project is to build an inexpensive home automation that can help users controlling their multiple home appliances automatically in a remote access using speech recognition system. This project can help the users to monitor their home devices from far away only using their mobile phone via voice command activation. This system is using IFTTT (If This Then That) application to connect the Google Assistant for voice activation with Adafruit IO as a cloud web-based in storing the data. This project not only as initiative in supporting Malaysian Government campaign to reduce the waste of the electricity, but the major aim is to ease and assist disabled person when there is no one in their home.
