Abstract: Nowadays, the world has been developed to the new era through the years especially in technology. The technology growth helps the mankind for example via development of controlling solar energy charge. Solar energy is one of the many form of renewable energy on earth. This energy can be utilize by using a solar cell or photovoltaic cell which converts sunlight directly into electricity. Solar power can also be used in many small electrical devices such as battery chargers. In this project, a controlling solar energy charge with a state of charge indicator circuit is developed to charge 12V7.0AH batteries and to show indication to user when the batteries reach a fully charged state. The provitable to store energy for usage during night time. The charging mechanism can be controlled for example when the battery is in overcharged or undercharged condition. It needed a set of op-amps to monitor the parameters such as load current, panel voltage and others. The moment the battery start to charge, green coloured LED is switched on. Meanwhile, on instance that the battery is fully charged a white LED will switched on, when the connection at battery wrong a red LED is switched on, when the fuse is burn a yellow LED will light up hence the time where the battery low an orange LED is switched on. By using MOSFET, it prevent the load from getting overcharged where as the transistor is used to change the load to a different dummy one when is fully charged there by protecting it from being corrupted.
