Abstract: Nowadays, technology has become apart from our life. Most of mobile phone today has more than five features built in such as communication, web browser and camera. Most of our mobile phone has become smartphone because it can do so much more. Even with all the latest features on our smartphone, it’s still cannot identify its location in indoor environment. While Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geo-Location technology can provide accurate position information, it’s still limited to the outdoor usage only. This project is set to develop a system based on beacon for indoor location identification. The hardware part will emit beacon signal that contains Unique Universal Identifier (UUID) while the software part will pick up the signal and will display appropriate information on the smartphone. With smart comparing process, the smartphone will be able to identify its location in indoor environment and can provide location-related information to the users.
