| Abstract: | Robots are now in widespread use performing jobs in industries and commercial. Its advantages such as more cheaply, with greater accuracy and reliability than humans make it more companies prefer to upgrade their production operator to a robot. Robot are also very practical for jobs which are too greasy, risky or tedious to be suitable for humans to operate. It is commonly used in assembly and packing, laboratory research, manufacturing, research, and mass production of industrial goods. This project describes a design of robot arm for small medium enterprise application. The proposed model system is designed based of the usage of pneumatic, stepper, servo, color sensor and programmable logic controller (PLC) for pick and place. The focus of this project is build for small medium industry (SME). SME is defined as manufacturing companies or companies providing manufacturing related services with annual sales turnover not exceeding RM25 million and with fulltime employees not exceeding 150. This project have been proposed to ASAS (AS Automation Service) for their application. This project can be training kit for future engineer and can be apply to any industries. ASAS is a company that provide service training for industries. Their services include making a PLC system, maintenance, repairing and consultant. They also provide training for engineers to develop engineering skills in PLC programming. As automation services -(1008591a) is established with collaboration with as automation-services.de Germany and as automation-services(s) pte. Ltd. This company was incorporated in august 2012 with capabilities in automation. One of ASAS office is in Danga Utama, Johor , Malaysia. |
