Abstract: Malaysia is in need for highly-skilled human resources to close the present demand and supply gap in various industries, particularly those driving economic transformation. Universiti Kuala Lumpur MITEC is one of TVET university that have been given the mandate to upgrade the status of technical education in Malaysia by the government. UniKL MITEC learning approach is hands-on training which is 60% practical approach and 40% theory ap-proach. The economic agenda outlined in the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (2016-2020) is expected to create 1.5 million jobs by 2020. 60% of the jobs that will be created are expected to require TVET-related skills. One of the government focus areas is transforming TVET education to meet industry demand.
