dc.description.abstract The purpose of this project is to develop an Android application that can recommend the appropriate machining parameters for user to chose .The main reason Android Operational System are chosen for this project is because it is mobile and open source. The software used to program an android application is Eclipse Juno. The material used for experiment in this project is Starvax, it is often used in moulding process. Tool that is used in this project is 4 flute 16 mm diameter Carbide. The Design of Experiment choose by the researcher is Taguchi Method. Taguchi method is an effective method to simplify from 27 experiments to only 9 experiments that are significance. It is also known as Taguchi orthogonal array of L9.This method used three parameters (Spindle Speed, Feed Rate and Depth of Cut) and three levels. This method also proves that it can optimize the surface roughness. Surface Texture of Surface roughness is the main thing that is count in the manufacturing because the surface roughness will influence the quality of the work piece. The minimum surface roughness will produce a better quality of works piece. en_US
