dc.description.abstract Manual industrial robot programming for contour tracking process such as in gluing application is quite tedious and time consuming process. A lot of points need to be taught alongside car huge glass panel windshield edge which takes days in automotive industries if taught manually. This work will introduce simple and low cost automatic programming approach so that industrial robot will search glass panel edge autonomously. Only one proximity sensor and Simple ON and OFF control scheme is being employed in order to implement this automatic edge detection technique. The outcome of this work will reduce the teaching process from the number of days into a number of hours and improve the overall quality and productivity in automotive sector. en_US
