dc.description.abstract This research addresses the critical issue of energy efficiency in apartment buildings, focusing on the evaluation of electrical appliances based on Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS). With the surge in urbanization and technological advancements, energy consumption has escalated, especially in apartment buildings. Despite the strategic implementation of MEPS to control excessive energy usage, there exists a significant gap in consumer awareness, compounded by the absence of userfriendly tools for energy analysis in these buildings. The research methodology involves designing a comprehensive questionnaire, conducting face-to-face interviews, and employing a Python-based analytical tool for energy usage analysis. The study reveals a moderate level of awareness among consumersregarding MEPS. Furthermore, it establishes a positive correlation between the Star Rating of Buying Preference and the Total Agree of Awareness of MEPS. The regression analysis indicates an inverse relationship between average star rating and total wattage for appliances, emphasizing the importance of higher star ratings for energy efficiency. The analysis of energy consumption based on appliance star ratings demonstrates significant decreases in energy consumption as star ratings increase, particularly for refrigerators. The findings underscore the potential for residents to reduce energy consumption and achieve cost savings by choosing appliances with higher star ratings. en_US
