| dc.description.abstract | Centrifugal pumps refurbishment, running operation and design are strongly related to cavitation phenomena. This phenomenon may occur in both stationary parts of the pumps and rotating impeller. The current experiment concerning with cavitation detection (inception, developed and breakdown) degrees. A special test rig was designed and constructed to produce the ability to test the pumps as a single unit or as a two pumps in series or parallel. The result show that running the pumps in parallel connection gave a better resistance to cavitation that series and single pump operation. | en_US |
