dc.description.abstract This research attempts to explore the Contingency Plan between preparation and response towards oil spill at the oil terminal, Malacca. The contingency plan is the plan devised for an outcome other than in the usually expected plan. This plan used to respond to oil spills with the aim of preventing oil from reaching sensitive area at the oil terminal. The oil spill is defined as the release of a liquid petroleum hydrocarbon into the environment, especially the marine ecosystem from the human activity. This research relates with emergency response of the incident of the oil spill. The factors that contribute to the oil spill is from human activities in sector oil and gas. This research towards the contingency plan activities of the preparation and response towards the oil spill at the terminal. Government and non-government are the important in contributes on the response towards the oil spill. en_US
