Abstract:
This research titled student satisfaction on the usage of tools and
equipments (teaching and learning) at UNIKL fabrication workshop comes
with two objectives. First objective of this research is to measure the level of
satisfaction on student towards facilities provided in the workshop specifically
in tools and equipments availability. Second objective for this research is to
suggest improvement steps to overcome tools problem in fabrication
workshop to help in teaching and learning process. According to (Audu Rufai,
2013) state that a well functional workshop with the right tools, equipment
and machines will enhance the student‟s skill which helps them to be
employed in the industry. Thus it is important to know level of students
satisfaction whether not they satisfy or unsatisfied with the facility of
fabrication workshop at UNIKL MIMET as for their teaching and learning
purpose. Therefore, with the result collected by the researcher through real
respondents which were from Diploma in Ship (DSD), Diploma in Ship
Construction (DSC) and Bachelor of Naval Architecture and Ship Building
(BNASB). These results were taken and analyzed for improvement step
towards aiming better facilities fabrication workshop will provide.
