Abstract:
This research is about the influence of water sport activities towards tourism
development at Teluk Batik, Seri Manjung. The purpose of this study is to
encourage the visitors to choose Teluk Batik as a place for relaxation and
having a good panorama since the sunset falls at this area. Three variables
have been selected to help the researcher to identify the factors that affected
to the economics of water sport activities in Teluk Batik which are the facilities,
location and marketing. Other than that, the researcher also want to analyze
the relationship between developments of facilities towards water sport
activities at Teluk Batik. The sample for the study focused on the visitors at
Teluk Batik and Majlis Perbandaran Manjung (MPM). The researcher used two
methods which are quantitative and qualitative to examine the research
objectives. 100 questionnaires are distributed to the respondents to obtain the
primary data. SPSS 22.0 software is used to analyse the data. For the
qualitative method, the researcher made interviews with the employees at
MPM and sellers at Teluk Batik. The information and knowledge gain help the
researcher to add more at recommendations and suggestion section. The
research will give benefit to local authorities and visitors at Teluk Batik, MPM
and tourism at Perak.
