Abstract:
Developing effective defense systems for country requires the proper
deliveries of defense and enforcement assets. A complete spectrum of a
country protection mechanism depends on the availability of an efficient
logistics support. A multi role support ship is a key element of this defense
strategy. A multi role support ship will designed to be specifically suited for the
above requirement. The development involves the conceptual design of the
multirole support ship to meet the special requirements. This project involves
the development of conceptual model of the multirole support ship including
the initial analysis of the vessel design and performance. The process of
analyzing by using multiple software such Maxsurf Bentley which to study
about the structural design and weight, stability in ship equilibrium with multiple
condition, the total resistance acted on the hull form develop and total power
generated to achieved required ship optimal speed and the ship motion which
to studies about the ship movement in heading seas. 3D modeling will be
develop by using Rhinoceros 5.0 which helps in determination of total area and
volume of block configuration design that have been develop. All of this
parameter will describes and give an ideas to designer about the initial
performance of the Multi Role Support Ship. In the estimation of weight which
is a crucial part in ship design formulae from Manuel Ventura helps all the
weight acted on the ship. The weights that includes in this studies are
displacement, net and gross tonnage, machinery weight, hull weight,
equipment weight and lightship.
