Abstract:
The represent study is to generate the electricity by converting from the
kinetic energy using the magnetic concept. The magnetic concept used in
this research is electromagnetic induction. These studies consist of three
main step such as design, construct the model prototypes and test and
analysis. The design aim to creating new design approach by adding different
factors such are the magnet size, the number of coil turn and also the
diameter of coil The design as construct using AutoCAD as the 2D view and
SolidWorks as 3D view. For the system, circuit diagram was used in order to
find the suitable circuit for the system. For the model prototypes, the material
used are plywood and PVC pipe for the inductors as the main material due
to its light weight and its correspond to the magnet shape used. During test
and analysis stage, two types of magnet with different sizes were used.
Besides, the research also tested with different number of coil turn and also
diameter of copper coil. In can be state that this project achieved to generate
the electrical energy but in a small amount of electric. The prototypes only
can produce small amount of electric because of the loss of energy due to
the friction force, magnetic flux and technical error when conducting the
projects. The significant of this study as the platform knowledge to new
research to study more about the electric harvester that based of magnetic
concept.
