Abstract:
Sand casting is a widely used in manufacturing process. This process widely
used in moulded by pouring molten metal into a cavity. Sand casting is also
known as sand moulded casting. Sand Casting is a process used to create
permanent moulds that are characterized by using sand as the mould material.
The mould cavity is created by withdrawing the pattern that has been packed
around from the sand. The pattern usually made by wood, plastic or a variety
of other material. This process can produce the product that cannot produced
by machining where in production of complex shapes, irregular curved
surfaces and parts made form metal. Besides, the cost for sand casting also
cheaper compared to metal casting. There are six basic requirements to the
