DEVELOPMENT OF PROSTHETIC FINGER INTEGRATED WITH PROSTHETIC ARM

Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop a prosthetic fingers which integrated with prosthetic arm. Prosthetic limb is an artificial device extension that replaces a missing body part. A prosthetic hand is an artificial hand for those who amputated their hand. Many amputees have special prosthetic and devices to support in the participation of any sports and recreational activities. Prosthetic hand is a blessing and a new hope for people who have lost their hands because of some accidents, defective since birth or cause by disease The priority on prosthetic hand is that its function is as close to natural hand. Cosmetic or “passive” prosthesis is a one of prosthetic hands that only for cosmetic purpose only where cannot do any movement. There are various designs of prosthetic hand that are available in the market. The designs categorized as electrical, mechanical and Myo-electric hand.
