THE SWOT ANALYSIS STUDY OF SAMUDERA SHIPYARD AND ENGINEERING SDN BHD

Abstract

This research is about to study the Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis on a company. This study focuses on the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) company within maritime industry. For this research, a company which located in Damar Laut, Samudra Shipyard & Engineering SDN BHD was selected as subject of research. The main objective of this study is to study the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Samudra Shipyard & Engineering SDN BHD. This study provides an idea of how the SWOT analysis can be used as tools to create a strategic planning for the company. In this research, SWOT matrix analysis is used to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the Samudra Shipyard & Engineering. The finding of the TOWS Matrix diagnoses will determine the suitable strategic planning for the company. Several suggestions and recommendations were made as an outcome of the research.
