dc.description.abstract Preloading is one of the stages of jack-up rig move where the weight of the barge is increased by additional ballast water to drive the leg deeper into sea bottom so it will not penetrate further during operations afterward. SEASAFE is a jack-up rig stability program which is used in this project to calculate and analyse the condition of the preloading stage. The software will produce a report on the condition based on the data acquired. The solutions will be compared with the manual calculations, referring to class certificate and Marine Operation Manual. The analysis data will be utilized as reference for UMW Offshore Drilling in their effort in implementing the SEASAFE software to their jack-up rig. The final result will focus on the optimum rig loading condition and leg reaction force during preloading stage. en_US
