STABILITY AND POWERING ASSESMENT OF SMALL WOODEN FISHING BOAT IN KEDAH ACCORDING TO MARITIME SAFETY COMMITTEE MSC 8726 ANNEX 29

Abstract

The aim of research is to assess the stability and powering of small wooden fishing boat below 12 meter according to Maritime Safety Committee 87/26 Annex 29. The research is conducting in Kedah State. The result of the research will determine either the boat follows the requirement of the rule and regulation produced by the Maritime Safety Committee. From the data analysis, the powering selection of the boat also can be determined. The outcomes of the research will help the fisheries and locals about the stability and powering selection of the boats. The research also can be used as a guideline for educational purpose.
