dc.description.abstract FSW was first invented by the TWI in England as the new invention of innovation of replacing the old method of welding. The research is carried out to analyse the microstructure of the pipe butt joint in the variation of rotation speed. The variations are varied from 900, 1200 and 1500 rpm with the constant travel speed of 1.2 mm/s. The objective of this particular research is to determine the grain structure due to vary in heat input. The method of conducting the research are using the grinding, polishing, etching and analyzing the data. There are slightly in time vary during the etching. en_US
