Abstract: The purpose of this project is to save the aircraft battery. The motion detector lighting is operated based on the sensor which senses the human physical movement within a given field. Once the sensor senses the object or human movement beyond the sensor it will illuminate the light and operate at the working area. Even though this system is based on range, it has been modified to detect only human body. So there is no possibility that system will be triggered ‘on’ by an animal. Currently, Boeing 737 is using the door sensor lighting which will operate and lighten the whole cargo area once the cargo door is open. Therefore, it only waste the aircraft battery because the area of workers work on is limited. Moreover, by using motion detector lighting it will also extend the lamp lifespan because not all the lamp will operate when the cargo maintenance take place.
