Studies On Hangar Safety And Procedures

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the amount of effectiveness of 3 independent variable which is Human factor and error, Safety culture and Tools and Equipment in hangar on hangar safety as dependent variable in different aspect that is coming up in objectives of this study. This dissertation is consist of 5 chapter as followed : INTRODUCTION as the first chapter give some basic and general knowledge on this topic to reader to have some idea about the topic. It‘s coming up with four objectives that are about how to maximize the safety of aircraft technician and student, how human factor can effect on environment of hangar, what are the most influence factors toward hangar safety in UniKL MIAT and how to reduce human error in hangar during servicing. The second chapter is LITERATURE REVIEW that is about previous study of the variables of this topic like human factors in maintenance, human error on maintenance, safety culture, monitoring organizational conditions, tools and equipment of hangar and personality effect. METHODOLOGY of this dissertation will be third chapter that will be explained how to take the result for this study, Distributing survey-Likret skill-between two universities -Nilai university and UniKL MIAT-with amount of 40 pieces to get students and lecturers opinion about mentioned objective. After collecting survey, this study had its result in forth chapter as RESULT AND DISCUSSION by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software and based on the result, it‘s been found out the human factor and error and safety culture are the most influences factors on hangar safety. In CONCLUSION as fifth chapter of this study several recommendations based on the objectives of this dissertation has been suggested to improve hangar safety in UniKL MIAT which is useful and good for organization of MIAT and future of student of MIAT as they are going to work in live aircraft hangar after finish their study.
