dc.description.abstractFarm mechanization has been promoted to local farmers to overcome the current issues of labour shortage and long farming time. The machine of our concern is a semi-automatic machine to mechanise pineapple planting in a medium to large farming area. The machine major part consists of machine chassis, blade packer, the filler, seed container, seed barrel and disc ridger. The planting machine is driven by light weight tractor. The simpler mechanism and chassis design make it easier to be develop and maintain thus reduce the cost of production. A prototype was built in IPROM workshop together with outsources workshop to show the method on how the machine functioning. Analysis on chassis linear static was carried out to ensure that the design created can withstand the load applied during the planting process.en_US
