Experiments were conducted to analyze quality of the fruit before and after picking operation using current design and prototype. The challenge of this project is to construct a fruit picking operation environment condition. Quality function deployment (QFD) and product design specifications (PDS) are used as a guideline to produce this product better than existing product. Result from this analysis, two prototypes of fruit picking tools was developed. For conclusions, the new design able to perform better than old design. Besides that, quality of the fruits after picking operation shows less damage and the fruit picking tools are comfortable to use.
