Authors: | Ahmad Faisal Bin Mustapa |
Issue Date: | 8-Dec-2014 |
Abstract: | Finite element analysis is one of the numerical computation which help automotive industries to validate stamping process before virtual try out. The algorithm framework of implicit and explicit non-linear geometry is crucial to deliver accurate and faster numerical computation results for hot forming simulation process. The analytical result for hot forming numerical computation is thinning%, stress/strain, displacement and formability. In this work, the integration of HyperWork and LS-Dyna were investigated by conducting a programming script using TCL/TK programming language. The formability is examined using boron steel 22MnB5 material model and subjected to three manipulated variables 300Mpa,325Mpa and 350Mpa to get the optimum FLD result. Based on the result, a new methodology implementing TCL/TK programming in integrating LS-Dyna solver with Hyperwork pre/post processor for hot forming process. |
