STUDY OF OWNERSHIP FOR HYBRID CAR

Abstract

Hybrid car in Malaysia is still new and the price to owner is still at the high side .The benefit of having this technology will reduce cost of fuel consumption and global warming phenomenon that can affect the organisms in this planet. The Government is therefore trying to encourage the purchase of more Hybrid cars which help reduce Malaysia’s carbon footprint from fuel bill reductions and lower CO2 emissions. The stigma and mindset of Malaysian’s driver towards hybrid car are in term of high market price and maintenance cost , which effects them to owner this green technology .This study investigate the hybrid technology and the cost to owner the Honda Jazz hybrid which based on monthly instalment , fuel consumption and maintenance . Price for JASS Hybrid is RM94, 800 and for JASS Fuel is RM99, 800.Based on the price, fuel car is more expensive than hybrid car. However , Malaysian government currently provides incentives to consumers to buy hybrid cars to help spur on demand and as mentioned above, hybrid cars actually become more price competitive This research utilize benchmark of Myvi petrol Honda Jazz with Hybrid Jazz.Beside that , secondary data which are like brochures also have been used and others information were gained by research.
