Abstract: The purpose of this project is to study about the impact of halal logistics services to land transportation especially in container service. Another purpose that support this project is the effectiveness of halal logistics service to the customer satisfaction. Halal foods have strict regulation in ensuring the product remain halal from the manufacturing process right through to being purchased by consumer in retail store. The basic principal of halal logistics is to ensure segregation of halal cargo from non halal cargo. This is to avoid cross contamination and ensure that the logistics system is aligned to expectation of muslim customers and so halal integrity is thus protected along the whole supply chain. However there are usually concern on whether the cargo, especially food, is tainted with non halal cargo during the transportation and storage process as both categories of cargo are often not separated. Halal logistics offer cold storage facilities, refrigerated transportation and noncontaminated shipping service to allay the concerns that is does not conform to strict halal standards.
