The purpose of this paper is to identify the actual problems occur in air travel passengers check-in process. The biggest pain point for passengers today is the hassle associated with airport processes and controls. Passengers experience uncertainty and stress due to inconsistency and unpredictability of processes at airports which can be better integrated than they are today. They can be a long wait times, in addition to different procedures to be followed at different airports around the world. Question arise when there are still queue in most of the airport during check-in processes while there are many proposals and programs have been proposed by IATA with the goal of eliminating as many steps as possible off airport. This paper has elevated all the possible problems faced by the airports and airlines today. The fact that 70-80% of the IT development failed is backed by the lack of strategic planning by the organization, many of today‟s organization had blindly implemented IT solution in their business hoping that it will contribute economic advantages in term of human capital and efficiency. Eventually, the initiatives only last for a couple of years and end up with capital lost. One needs to understand that the advancement of technology is mushrooming over the years due to changes of trend and demand. On the other hand, organization also need to evaluate the long-term capability of the technology itself, realizing the range of the new technology in the business operation shall not only cover one particular process but it also need to be flexible enough to cover the several other processes or better still the whole organization processen_US
