dc.description.abstractThese researches are mainly the effects of annealing process against the microstructure and mechanical behavior to material structure. Annealing process is one of method in heat treatment process which is to observe and investigate the effect of annealing on microstructure and mechanical behavior. The use types of specimen with the dimension are 25mm diameter and 170mm length and 3mm thickness. The main objective of this research is to investigate and analyze on the structure steel alloy through the mechanical properties and microstructure by performing the annealing process which is influence the performance of material structure. During annealing process, the specimen are annealing at 550C and 880C at different time taken 30 minutes and 60 minutes. These specimens will cool in the air cooled or room temperature. After process annealing completed, the observation on microstructure and testing are to be carried out. There are two testing that to be conducted which is tensile and hardness test. Brinell hardness test will be applied with 10mm diameter of ball indenter. For microstructure observation will carried out by using Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM) in order to examine the condition of microstructure. The result will be taken and record. The expected result sees that annealing process is giving the positive implication against microstructure and mechanical behavior. The analysis also will apply a T-test and Main and interaction effect analysis in order to know the significant and optimize setting of the parameters.en_US
