Abstract: Malaysian is countries which receive a high level of solar radiance with more than 10 sun hours per day, with the increasing of population and also demand for fossil fuel other and use energy should be promoted. Renewable energy such as solar is one of the end use energy that can be used to replace the current energy such as oil, gas and coal. The performance of solar efficiency is depending on its performance on turning sunlight into electricity. This energy is highly influence by weather temperature. However even though the temperature is not high its still can produce an amount of energy. This research is to identify the solar photovoltaic effectiveness using design of experiment. The output current and voltage for the solar panel is collected 32 times recording to the experimental design. The result is analyze based on main plot effect, interaction and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to identify the most significant factor that contributes to the solar efficiency. The result shows the most significant factor for solar photovoltaic efficiency is mono-crystalline, 100, shade and wavelength from the significant factor the highest electricity produce based on the experiment is 1.37 Watt. The efficiency produce from the experiment is about 1.37% and based on the Standard condition temperature (STC) from the manufacture provided the theoretical efficiency is around 17% which not diverted too much from actual result.
